Boosted Board: The (Electric) City-Friendly Vehicle
If you live in a big city, the Boosted Board may be the sustainable transportation device for you. Boosted Board started as a Kickstarter in 2012 that promised a lightweight, high-power long board for anyone working or living in a city or on a campus. The Kickstarter raised almost $500,000 USD, with many backers excited for a new, innovative and relatively inexpensive way to get around.
Casey Neistat was one of the first big-time influencers to popularize Boosted Board. In many of his vlogs, you can watch Neistat toting around NYC on his high-power longboard, which got many young people thinking, Do I need a Boosted Board too?
Well, with their new miniature models, you just might! Not only is Boosted Board a great sustainable alternative to driving a car, its lightweight, has a range of 6 miles, and if charged everyday, would only cost $5/year. Much cheaper than buying gas weekly, not to mention much more eco-friendly. Their mini models even have extended ranges of 14 miles, so you can stay on the go!
